Jure, Mr. Smits should register on the site but he definitely cannot play this Tuesday. The rule is that we allow max 12 players and people in yellow have priority.

Actually, Caleb is not a member yet, so I corrected that. He expressed intent to join but has not paid. I am wondering if I should cap it at 13 members, which covers my expenses. But I would need to collect a few bucks for any summer bookings in May.

I think only once we had more than 12 member sign-ups when we instituted the system with 14 members in 2014. Any opinions?

Caleb is planning on becoming a member - he might have been planning on bringing cash tomorrow.

As for limiting the number of members - I can think of a dozen times last year where we had 6 people or less showing up. I don’t mind capping each individual session at 12 on a first come first serve basis (with priority for next time if you can’t join) but if it means we’ll have more sessions with 8+ players overall I think we should expand.

Wow, full house! I’m with Sam, if we have more players willing to join, great. My hockey team has 17 or so full time players, yet we have games with 7 players. Life happens.

The question is not about expanding beyond 14 members. The principle of this system is that members always have a right to play, but we do not allow any guest players that would bring the total above 12. Implicitly, the assumption is that we will not (or extremely rarely) get more than 12 of 14 members sign up on a given day.

By cutting back to 13 then the probability of having more than 12 is reduced significantly. That's what I was asking about. It also gives more opportunities for guests to play.

I will talk to Henrik and Caleb directly to figure who, if anyone, gets the last slot.

Capping the game with 12 players is a longstanding principle know as the "Kenn rule", which I don't want to change. We had bad experiences when like 14 people showed up in the 2000s.

Last season was an anomaly because we had as many as 6-7 inactive members due to moving and injury.

So, at this juncture, Hugo and Henrik are out. They can join if people drop out, with Hugo first in line.

Hi all, I was down with an injury, but hope I can continue playing in the new season. So I hope I can keep the membership : ).

Big thanks to Jesper for booking the season. We have booked all days at Pyle thru June 10, 2025. On Nov 6 we will play on a Wednesday due to election day.

The fee for this season is $110, which will cover all dates thru June 10 and future summer bookings in June-July. Veterans are free to send me payment via Zelle, Venmo or Paypal like you did before in the past 2 years. As mentioned earlier we have at least 2 new slots for people that were not members last year. New people, pls contact me directly for payment.

If we don't fill those two spots by the time we start in September I have a friend who will come try out for the first sessions. He's a hockey player so we'll see if he enjoys.

Sorry, the system does not allow for splitting a membership. If you play half the time then it's less than $5 per game. Last season we had 45 games.
